Love Poured Out

Fill an empty room with a group of women, ask them to open up and talk about their lives, relationships, and their feelings, and you will often find a room full of emptiness, and it shouldn’t be that way. Sadly, in this room you will find many women with empty broken hearts.

There is hope for every heart and it is the unending, unfailing, everlasting love of God. Those empty hearts can be filled with this love and when this love invades an empty heart, it fills it to fuller than it has ever been filled with love before. It is one thing to know God’s love exists, and know He loves you, but it is another thing to experience the fullness of life that comes when God’s love is pouring into your heart and flowing like a river, a river of life.

I’ve been in that room and felt the emptiness many women are living with and my heart is filled with such longing to open their eyes to see the depth of God’s love, a love that they have somehow missed. Not because it wasn’t there for them, but because the pain of life has caused a disconnection to occur, and this disconnect blinds a hurting person to the hope of God’s love coming into their heart and healing the hurt that is inside.

Many women live in the hurt of a failed love relationship or are longing for a relationship to fill them with love, and oftentimes experience rejection and loneliness. Even people that are in good, loving marriages, will still find themselves longing for a depth of love they aren’t experiencing in their marriage and in family relationships, because the only love that fully satisfies is God’s love. God’s love makes an empty heart full and a broken heart whole.

Only God’s love takes away the emptiness. Only God’s love loves enough. Only God’s love can.

Romans 5:5
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
